1. Intellectual Property & Fan Disclaimer

Hollow Kards is a strictly non-profit, fan-made project developed out of passion for the Hollow Knight universe.

All original art, character designs, logos, lore, music, and intellectual property rights belong exclusively to Team Cherry. This game and its creators claim zero ownership over any official Hollow Knight assets. This is an unofficial tribute game and is not endorsed by, directly affiliated with, or sponsored by Team Cherry.

2. Non-Commercial Policy

This project is 100% free-to-play. There are no paywalls, microtransactions, or paid competitive advantages.

No revenue is generated from the gameplay. Any voluntary support provided via platforms such as Ko-fi is strictly used to offset direct physical server hosting and database operating costs.

3. Age Requirement & Eligibility

To comply with digital privacy standards and regulations, you must be at least 16 years old to create an account on Hollow Kards. By registering, you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The game and services are provided strictly on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind.

The developers do not guarantee uninterrupted server availability, error-free operation, or preservation of data. Under no circumstances shall the creators be held liable for any data loss, game progress rollbacks, server downtime, or any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of this service.

5. Privacy & Data Protection (GDPR Compliant)

We respect your privacy and only collect data strictly necessary to operate game accounts:

• Account Credentials: Username, Email address, and Password (which is securely stored in our database).
• Transactional Emails: Your email address is processed solely to deliver account verification codes via our email provider (Resend).
• Date of Birth: Used solely to verify age eligibility and to grant an annual in-game Birthday reward.
• IP Address: Temporarily analyzed solely for rate-limiting, preventing server abuse, and account security.

Your personal information is never sold, shared, or monetized. You retain the right to request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

Hollow Kards uses only essential HTTP session cookies (such as connect.sid) required to keep you authenticated while navigating the game. We do not use any third-party tracking, profiling, or advertising cookies.

7. User Conduct & Fair Play

By accessing Hollow Kards, you agree not to engage in cheating, botting, packet manipulation, intentional bug exploitation, harassment, or attempts to disrupt server infrastructure. The administration reserves the right to terminate or restrict access to any account that compromises the integrity of the game.
